JULY |
| Ramona's 4th
of July event always takes place on the 4th--no matter what day it
falls on. The event is created with families in mind, and takes you
back to a more simple, gentle way of life. We always say that Ramona's
4th is a little "Rockwell" moment, (referring to Norman Rockwell's
paintings), and since "Redneck" has been our theme for the last couple
of years, the tranquility is interjected with zany fun. Plenty of fun
for the kids! Click

demolition derby, 4-H exhibits, rodeo, animal shows, airplane rides,
ATV challenge, figure 8 race & food.Friday’s

Extension Office (620-382-2325) for $2.50 each. The annual
Livestock/Premium Auction is slated to start at 6:30 p.m.
This is
where the 4-Her’s are rewarded for the work they’ve done over the past
several months with their animals. It is open to the public
and even
serves as a place for you, the public, to buy some meat for your
freezer! Or if you know of a special 4-Her (enrolled in the
livestock
projects and who is close to your heart), you can even add on a
monetary amount to the premium they receive for their
animal. Businesses around Marion County can expect to see
several
4-Hers stopping by to visit with them about their projects and asking
the businesses to attend the auction. These 4-Hers
participated in the
pilot iLEAD program and have worked hard to
develop their
public speaking, citizenship, and leadership skills. Not to
mention
their ultimate project, livestock flyers promoting the premium sale. Call
