A "DOG DAYS" MEAL WAS AVAILABLE AT $2.00 A PLATE FOR ALL WHO WANTED ONE, (THIS WAS NOT A FUND RAISER, THE $2.00 PRICE IS SIMPLY TO RE-COUP SOME OF THE COST)WE SOLD OUR FIRST JAR OF PAC-A-POO AND SHE SOON BE REAPING THE REWARDS IN HER FLOWER GARDEN. PAC-A-POO IS CALLED "BLACK GOLD", ONE OF NATURE'S FINEST FERTILIZERS. IT IS ALSO KNOWN TO REPEL DEER.

LEHIGH ANTIQUE TRACTOR & ENGINE SHOW *************************************************************** PUT IT ON YOUR CALENDAR ------ THE LEHIGH ANTIQUE TRACTOR & ENGINE SHOW ----EVERY MEMORIAL DAY!! (PRESS RELEASE - 2008) Are you looking for some old fashioned family fun on Memorial Day? Then head on over to Lehigh in Western Marion County for their Antique Tractor, Engine and Pedal Pull Show. This is the first year that Lehigh's Pedal Pull competition is state sanctioned, which means the winners get to compete at the Kansas State Fair in September. Pedal Pulling is great fun for kids, ages 4-12 and they pedal a tractor and pull a loaded sled. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. and the pull begins at 11:00 a.m.. The fair takes place all day, Monday, May 26th in the Lehigh City Park and on Main St. There will be arts & crafts booths, food, homemade pies from the Lehigh Ladies, antique cars, tractors, and steam engines. Guest exhibitors are welcome so bring your favorite antique engine, auto, crafts. Childrens activities include face painting and pie throwing with a skillet toss for the women and a log throw for the men. Starting at 8:00 a.m. you can register to be in the parade that starts at 1:30 p.m. 
Kansas PRIDE will have a booth at which they will be selling alpaca products. Pride is a citizen-based approach to improving the quality of life in Kansas communities and is a collaboration between KS Department of Commerce, K-State Research & Extension and PRIDE Inc. Learn what you can do to improve your own community. And meet the ALPACAS! The Memorial Day will be filled with lots of fun family events and it's the only fund-raising event this year for Lehigh, a community of 219 people.
