• Leaves and Brush:

*The City of Lehgih as a burn ordinance in effect that prohibits any burning other than for cooking purposes.

*A tree limb and brush disposal site is located at the NW edge of town. This facility is locked; residents need to obtain a key and each load is examined.

*A compost area is also at this same site to accept leaves and grass clippings.

• Dogs & Cats:

*All dogs and cats over the age of six months must be licensed; contact the city clerk for information on this.

*No residence shall have more than two dogs or four cats.

*All dogs shall be confined or restrained. Any dog or cat running at large may be picked up and taken to the local vet for holding. A pickup fee will be charged to the owner.

• Other Livestock:

*The City of Lehigh does not allow the keeping of livestock within the city limits.

• City Building Rental:

*To reserve the city building community room, contact the City Clerk. There is a $50.00 rental fee, which is non-refundable.

• Lehigh Post Office:

*Lehigh offers its customers a full-service post office. (620) 483-3592. Hours are 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The lobby is open late Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for your convenience. For 24/7 assistance with your postal needs: www.usps.com

• City Bills, Fees - ETC.:

*The city of Lehigh bills water, sewer and trash pick-up.

*Water is $____for 2,00 gallons + $___per 1,000 additiona gallons.

* A $107.50 non-refunable connection fee is required for all new customers.

*Sewer is $23.00 per month for residential customers.

*Trash carts are required and provided by Stutzman's Refuse Disposal Inc. Cost for the carts are $8.80 and $9.50/

* Bills are sent on or about the 10th of each month and are due by the 28th of that month. A 10% late fee is added to the remaining balance on the 29th.

*Water service is disconnected if no payment is received by the due date.

*A $75.00 reconnect fee is charged to have service restored plus payment of any current charges.

*Payments can be made by mail or by placing them in the utility payment box on the SW side of the Lehigh City Building.

*The city office is open by request. Call (620) 483-4176.

* Trash pick-up is on Tuesday mornings except if there is a Monday holiday. Then pickup will be on Wednesday morning.
