CITY OF LINCOLNVILLE CULVERT POLICY

Culverts for residential usage:

The city will furnish one (1) fourteen (14) foot culvert section for a residential driveway. The culvert will be constructed of a material that is approved by the city, with a diameter of no less than ten (10) inches and no greater than twelve (12) inches. If the culvert will be installed on a high water-flow channel, the city street commissioner and city employee will make a determination of the diameter that will be needed.

All culverts that are currently in use will remain the same; no upgrades will be provided by the city, unless the city employee determines deterioration.

Should the property owner wish a culvert longer than fourteen (14) foot, the property owner will pay for any footage over the provided fourteen (14) foot.

If this installation is in addition to the existing culvert, the property owner will be charged a fee of $50.00 for installation. If, however, it is a new installation there will be no installation charges.

Should the property owner wish to install a concrete driveway and culvert, he may do so at his own expense; however he must have the design and site plan approved by the city street commissioner and city employee. In addition the drainage opening of the culvert will be no smaller than 10" x 10". If the city needs to remove any portion of concrete culvert or driveway to facilitate work on the city right-of-way, the city will not be required to replace the concrete that has been removed.

The City of Lincolnville will order the culverts upon request of the property owner. The property owner will also be required to pay for the cost of the culvert in full before it is ordered.

SNOW REMOVAL POLICY
FOR
CITY OF Lincolnville

1. Snow will be removed from City streets with the grader in the order indicated on the enclosed map.
2. Business drives will be cleared for traffic.
3. After streets are cleared, driveways will be opened with the City tractor. If you would like your complete driveway cleared, please contact the Street Commissioner and they will relay your request to the City Employee. The elderly and disabled will be top priority.
4. Snow will be hauled off of Main Street so it will not interfere with traffic or parking.
5. If there is an emergency, such as a doctor's appointment or illness, contact the Street Commissioner and your emergency will be made priority.

Please remember that a heavy snowfall is a burden on us all. Snow removal takes time. Be patient and assured that the job will be done.
