Infrastructure
Text-Only Version

With a strategic location in the "Golden Triangle" of South Central Kansas, and in the center of the United States, Marion County has two of the country's major trucking routes, Interstate 50 and Interstate 77, running through it. These two highways provide access to all the major markets of the United States.

Marion County is also served by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe and the Union Pacific Rail Road, and is a major throughfare for trains carrying aircraft, vehicles, building materials and other commodities to all points of the United States.

Mid-Continent Airport, which provides daily non-stop service to 10 major US cities that all serve as gateways to Internation destinations, is less than an hour away. Marion County also is home to two airports for small aircraft.

Besides the excellent public schools in Marion County, we are also home to Tabor College, a four-year Christian liberal arts institution, and an extension of Butler County Community College, which offers degrees in a a variety of disciplines.
